The worldwide youth detection programme is coming to Luxembourg to discover the future rally talents of the WRC. Thanks to the Automobile Club of Luxembourg, the country joins the list of 48 countries to take part in this competition.
FIA Rally Star is the first global talent detection programme to find, train and develop young drivers aged between 17 and 26 years old. The mass detection phase in Luxembourg will be hosted at the International Motor Show at LuxExpo The Box through the weekend of 19 – 21 November 2021. The Digital Challenge puts candidates through three runs on the rally simulator running the digital game WRC 9 to find the four fastest drivers, with one spot reserved for the fastest female driver. The winners of the Digital Challenge directly qualify for the European Continental Final that will take place in January next year. The world’s best talents will then be gathered at the Continental Finals to compete in LiveLife TN5 XC Cross Cars, which will be on display at the Motor Show. One driver of each Continental Final will join the FIA Rally Star team for a training season to gain real rally experience before joining the FIA Junior WRC.
